About us and who we are.

The beginnings:

1987:

Master’s examination in the craft of photography in Munich at the former Bavarian State College of Photography, now the Academy of Photographic Design

1989:

Establishment of a photography studio specialising in industrial and advertising photography, complete with a professional photo lab, in Berg near Ravensburg, in an old factory building with one employee

Renowned companies such as Escher Wyss Papiermaschinen, Alno AG, Heidelberg Materials, Voith Sulzer and Ravensburger Spiele were soon among our first regular clients.

1990:

Two further staff members are hired

1992:

The business grows to five staff members.

1996:

We invested early in new technologies and digital media, making us one of the pioneers of digital advertising and product photography.

1997:

We have outgrown our premises. Planning begins for a new building

1999:

We move into the new premises in Schlier / Ravensburg

2003:

We switch entirely to digital work across six sets in the studio.

2006:

New printing presses, now with a 111 cm print width, for high-end materials and fine art papers. Laminating machine with a 142 cm web width. We mount on all types of substrate and also carry out surface coatings.

2008:

Expansion to include the production of image brochures, graphic design work and print media

2014:

Substantial investment in significantly more flash and camera equipment

2015:

The professional creation of websites becomes an additional area of business

2017:

Mr Michael Müller, an advertising and industrial photographer who trained in-house from 2000, takes over the management of the photography studio

2023:

Expansion of the continuous lighting (halogen)

to approx. 45 kWh from ARRI

The new building in Schlier/Ravensburg:

In 1999, a new, state-of-the-art studio is built in Schlier near Ravensburg – with generous space, high ceilings and optimal working conditions.

Expansion of services – everything from a single source:

In response to requests from many customers, BECKERSTUDIOS continues to evolve. The aim: to be a single point of contact for everything, from photography to the finished printed material.

Today, the range of services also includes graphic design, layout, pre-press, print production and web design.

Whether in the studio or on location: we skilfully showcase products, prototypes, machinery and industrial facilities.
